Call for Speakers: CNG Japan 2026

On August 24, 2026, the Cloud-Native Geospatial Forum (CNG) is coming to Japan. The CNG Japan event is a half-day CNG community meetup in Tokyo designed to bring the local and regional CNG community together for an afternoon of demos, conversation, and a social reception. This is a chance for practitioners working in and around Japan to show off what they’re building, meet each other in person, and plug into the broader global CNG network.

Submit a Talk

We want to hear what you’re building. Whether it’s a production deployment, a work in progress, a tool, a workflow, or a hard-won lesson, if it touches cloud-native geospatial, there’s a place for it in the program. Format will be casual, demo-style share-outs of what people are working on.

Talks can be given in either English or Japanese. Submit your talk here.

Colocating with STAC Sprint + FOSS4G Hiroshima

Taking inspiration from the STAC community, which will also be hosting a STAC workshop at JAXA Tsukuba (August 25–27), we wanted to host an event while we are in Japan for FOSS4G 2026 in Hiroshima. More importantly, we wanted to create a dedicated space for CNG practitioners to learn and share their work. Japan has a vibrant and growing cloud-native geospatial community, and this felt like the right moment to bring people together in the city before the broader conference week kicks off.

Part of the 2026 CNG Series

CNG Japan is the second stop on the 2026 CNG global event series:

Each event agenda and audience will look different, fostering both local and international connections.

Want to Host?

We’re still finalizing a venue in Tokyo. If your organization has space and would like to host CNG Japan 2026, we’d love to hear from you. Please reach out to michelle@cloudnativegeo.org.
